Proposal Professionals from Around the World Gather for Premier Industry Conference
The Association of Proposal Management Professionals® (APMP®) announced today that the bid and proposal industry’s largest education and networking event, APMP’s Bid & Proposal Con, set a new attendance record this year with 920 attendees from 22 countries. The event took place this week in New Orleans, La., USA.
Compared to last year, nearly 50 more bid, proposal, capture, business development, sales, and marketing professionals gathered for the annual event, breaking APMP’s previous record set in 2016 in Boston.
“APMP’s conference has a solid standing in the industry because professionals know they can attend to hone their skills and interact with thought leaders who are carving out the future of the profession,” said Rick Harris, Executive Director, APMP. “Attendees took advantage of dozens of new educational sessions and an updated format that allowed for more interaction than ever before.”
For the second time in the association’s 28 years, APMP’s Bid & Proposal Con was a sell-out.
“The energy in New Orleans offered the ideal setting for our industry attendees,” says Kristin Dufrene, CPP APMP Fellow, APMP’s 2017 Chair. “Our profession is energized and evolving—and this event is where people come to grow shoulder-to-shoulder with the best practitioners in the profession. Bid & Proposal Con 2017 did not disappoint for those looking to take their careers to the next level.”
Next year, APMP takes its annual Bid & Proposal Con event to San Diego, May 15-18, 2018.
